THE FINSTERS ARE BACK AFTER 23 YEARS!
That’s right! It’s been 23 years since the Finster’s have been seen by the public eye!
Finster and his brother Finster have returned after their debut in my 5 minute, 1983 Cal Arts student film, “Store Wars.”
The Finsters have once again returned to Food City to battle those laser-shooting, no-good-nick chickens from the fresh chicken case.
But why has it been 23 years you ask? There just hasn’t been the right opportunity during the last years a various studios, until I came to Nickelodeon and connected up with the super-dynamic cartoon man, Fred Seibert.
I wrote a new script, storyboarded and pitched The Finster Finster Show! featuring the Finsters in “Store Wars.” Fred Seibert, Eric Homan and the gang liked it so much, they offered me a slot in the forth season of “Oh Yeah! Cartoons!
The Finsters haven’t changed in 23 years. In the original “Store Wars” cartoon, I had both Finsters piloting one rocket-powered shopping cart, but in the latest version of “Store Wars” the Finster bros. have their own rocket-powered shopping carts, complete with realistic, plastic, laser-shooting toys mounted to the seat area of the cart.
Anyway, I’ll show you all original 1983 storyboard drawings, development art, the chickens and their vehicles and other cool stuff as I progress!
I’m recording The Finsters this Wednesday with Billy West, Charlie Adler and Tress McNeille.

Congratulations, Jeff. The Finsters have only gotten funnier every step of the way. I can’t wait until recording. Nobody deserves his own cartoon more than you.

Thanks Eric. I appreciate that so much. You, Fred and Larry give us all a “license to speed” when making cartoons. This is what true cartoon making is all about, and the greatest opportunity in the giagantic world of cartoondom. It’s great working with you Eric!

THANKS FOR THE GREAT GREETING FROM THE JERSEY SHORE! YOU WERE ALWAYS THE BIGGEST FAN OF THE FINSTERS FROM THEIR BIRTH BACK IN 1982 AND ALWAYS HAD A GREAT FEELING ABOUT THEM AND WHAT THEY CAN BRING TO THE TV VIEWERS. IT’S TOO BAD FINSTER DOESN’T HAVE THE DENTAL PLAN LIKE HIS BROTHER FINSTER, BUT HE MAKES A GREAT HUMAN CAN OPENER ON CAMPING TRIPS. TAKE CARE BROTHER AND WE WILL TALK SOON!
