PETER MAX
Hey Groovy Randon Kats and Kittens!
Yup; it’s me and the Finsters still groovin along.
I thought I’d share a little of my groovy 60’s childhood and one of my biggest inspirations as an artist, Peter Max.
Peter Max inspired me like so many others during the 60’s up to now. His designs, colors and imagination is so mind-blowing!
Peter Max’s pallet of color and artistic freedom touches all of us.
I remember buying Peter Max’s Paper Airplane Book in 1967 while in grammer school. I still have that groovy piece of memorbilia. I was totally into flower power as a kid and still dig it! They used to give out these cool flower stickers at the local Citgo gas station after filling up. My Dad would give them to me to stick on my book covers. Man.
Anyway, here’s the Finsters as groovy hippies with a Sept. 5, 1969 Life Magazine cover backdrop.

UNCLE JUNIOR FINSTERS?
Hi Soprano’s fans!
A few days ago, Floyd was talking about one of our favorite shows, The Sopranos.
And Uncle Junior is by far one of my favorite characters on the show. AKA Uncle Jun.
Then as I look at his face, I got one of my weird cartoon visions of the Finsters looking like Uncle Junior. Or should I say; he looking like them. Now we know where Uncle Junior got his looks! LOL!!!!!!
Here ya go!
See you all on the N.J. Turnpike, Exit 13 at 10PM. Be there!!!
Talk to all yoos guys soon!

ED “BIG DADDY” ROTH
Hey Blogsters!!!
Jeff here.
I thought I’d share this awesome photo of my first inspiration to draw in my life. Check out these kids looking at Roth as he draws something. These kids are mezmerized by the Ol’ Mighty Big Daddy himself. Man; they can’t believe it’s the groovy Big Daddy in person! What a mind-blower!!! BLAM!!!
I figure I was around the same age as these kids when this photo was taken. Around 1966.
Roth was the father of monster car shirts, custom culture and father Rat Fink. Roth Studios used to put the coolest ads in Hot Rod and Car Craft Magazines through the 60’s and early 70’s. Great monster car art. Ed Newton did a lot of the inking and creating of the art for Roth. Robert Williams also came on to art direct and do shirts as well.
