Gorillaz: good enough for design award?

Ok so I know that Gorilllaz are a great band, as far as music standards go, but are they good enough for adesign award?

I’d have to say “yes” his videos/animation go beyond the infusion of multi-media for the sake of infusion. There is a carefully designed aspect to all the visuals, their layout, their animation. 2D animation interacting seemlessly with 3D without either technique trying to meet the other in them middle and yet it works. And with such economy of actual 2D animation. Plus, have you seen them live! CGI projected onto virtually invisible glass screens on stage, flat out eerie.

I’ve always admired Jamie’s designs. They rock, both literally and figuratively.

I saw Jamies designs for the characters, they are PERFECT!!! THeyre so good is rediculous! Im very jealous of Jamie!
