Yeah, yeah, I was a cartoon big shot at USC. Look at me now, slaving away on some nutty girl’s short about a pink dragon and a greek bat….oh just kidding fer gawsh sakes - Aliki is the best and I know she’s got more tales to spin and studios to conquer. Can I watch you conquer ‘em? Huh!?

Aliki, that’s a great story and so inspiring! It’s truly amazing how our lives come full circle. But, I feel it’s the amount of drive and passion toward what you want, makes the full circle happen. You have the talent, drive and passion, Aliki. It’s true that the seeds we plant in our fields of dreams do blossom, but we don’t know when. But we keep watering the fields, until we’re able to reap the fruits of our passion and drive. This is how it was with me and Chuck Jones. And now, I feel the same about Fred and how the animation planets align for a reason. Sometimes we go about our business, knowing what everyone is doing, make contact with certain people throughout our careers and then; BANG! we’re doing business together. “Oh Yeah”, we’re in a crazy, wonderful business, but one we’d never trade for the world.
Aliki, I wish you continued success and fun as you continue your travels throughout the animation galaxy. Take care and we’ll talk soon! Your Cartoon Pal….Jeff

Agreed, Fred is a wonderful, supportive guy and I was lucky enough to be introduced to him at Hanna Barbera too. Speaking of which….how come I never bumped into you there, Aliki?

Well, I knew OF Jun because the USC animation class took a tour of Hanna-Barbera, and we talked to Jun! She spoke to us briefly about directing and such, and I remember thinking to myself “WOW! There is a waaaay cool and talented woman in animation, and she is a director..maybe I can do this!!” I never whould have imagined, that one day, I would have the honor and priveledge of Jun Falkenstein directing Yaki and Yumi!! How lucky am I????? THANK YOU JUN, and congrats to you! (Jun also sold a short..yaaay!)
